This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is collected, used, stored and protected when you use yzkstudios.com (the “Website”).

The Website is operated as a personal project. Personal data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable French data protection law.

1. Purpose of the Website

The Website is a portfolio and music platform. It allows visitors to listen to music and use account-based features such as authentication, playlists, likes and listening-related features. Artist accounts approved by the Website operator may also upload and manage content.

2. Personal data collected

2.1 Data you provide directly

When you create and use an account, the following categories of personal data may be collected and stored:

• email address;
• username;
• profile photo;
• social media links you choose to add (YouTube, Apple Music, Spotify, SoundCloud);
• account role information (for example guest, VIP or artist);
• content you create or upload, where applicable, such as playlists, cover images, song files and related metadata.

Password authentication is handled through Firebase Authentication. The Website operator does not receive your plain-text password.

2.2 Data generated through use of the Website

When you use the Website, the following categories of data may also be generated and processed:

• liked songs;
• playlist data and playlist items;
• recent stream history associated with your account;
• presence-related data, such as whether you are currently listening and the current song identifier;
• aggregated song and site statistics, including streams, likes and active logged-in listeners.

Some statistics may be made available to artists in relation to their content.

2.3 Technical and security data

Technical information may be processed automatically by the Website, Hostinger and Firebase for security and service delivery, such as IP address, date and time of access, browser or device information, and server or authentication logs.

3. Purposes of processing

Personal data is processed for the following purposes:

• to create and manage user accounts;
• to authenticate users and secure access to the Website;
• to provide music playback and account features;
• to store playlists, likes, listening activity and related functionality;
• to host and display uploaded content for approved artist accounts;
• to send account-related emails such as verification and password reset emails;
• to maintain security, prevent abuse and ensure the proper operation of the Website;
• to comply with legal obligations and handle lawful requests or content removal requests.

4. Legal bases for processing

Depending on the purpose, processing is based on one or more of the following legal bases under Article 6 GDPR:

• performance of a contract, to provide your account and the requested Website features;
• legitimate interests, including security, abuse prevention, service integrity and management of the Website;
• compliance with legal obligations, where applicable.

5. Recipients and service providers

Personal data may be processed by the following categories of recipients or processors:

• Hostinger, as hosting provider for the Website infrastructure;
• Google Firebase, including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore and Firebase Storage, for account services, database storage and file storage;
• the Website operator, within the limits necessary to operate the Website and manage requests.

No advertising services are used. No marketing emails are sent. Account-related emails may be sent for email verification and password reset purposes.

6. Data location and transfers

Cloud Firestore is configured in the eur3 multi-region. Data may also be processed by Firebase Authentication, Firebase Storage, Hostinger and related providers as part of the technical operation of the Website.

Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, such transfers must be subject to appropriate safeguards under applicable data protection law, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses where relevant.

7. Data retention

• account data is retained for as long as the account remains active, unless earlier deletion is requested or performed;
• playlists, likes and account-related content are retained until deletion by the user or deletion of the account;
• uploaded artist content is retained until deleted by the relevant artist account or removed by the Website operator where justified;
• technical logs and security-related data are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for security, troubleshooting and legal compliance.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to request access to your personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing, and portability where applicable.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL in France if you believe your rights have been infringed.

9. Security

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are implemented to protect personal data, including access controls, authenticated account access, and the use of established service providers such as Hostinger and Firebase.

However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

10. Minors

The Website is intended for users aged 16 or older. If personal data relating to a user below the permitted age is identified, it may be removed upon request or as part of appropriate corrective action.

11. Changes to this Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the Website, its features, service providers, or legal requirements. The updated version will be posted on this page.
